Cumberland Valley Habitat for Humanity is almost entirely volunteer based. And this means that we need more help than just building houses.

Construction: It’s what we’re known most for, but you don’t need to be an experienced contractor to help out at the job site. Typically, we are building on the second and fourth Saturday of the month, and every Monday (as needed). Call the office for our building schedule, and find out what you may do to help.

Committees & Board of Directors: Somebody has to make the big decisions, and that just may be you! CVHFH has committees for Construction, Family Selection & Support, Public Relations, and Finance. And the Board of Directors makes decisions regarding policies and strategic vision. Even if you can’t build, you can support the building.

Administration/Fund Raising: The life’s blood of every non-profit organization is getting support for its program. Whether it’s computer work at the CVHFH office, or helping with mailings out of your home, it all contributes to keep our mission moving forward. Typically, CVHFH has 3-4 mailings a year, a golf event, a fall dinner, and an Annual Appeal; all of which need many hands and minds for their success. And if you have an idea that you think may help build a house, give us a call. We’re always open to new ideas that help.
